In June, our famous Lego film director and producer Tommy Lang graduated from 6th Class. He’s off to secondary school and already doing great things, calling in to update us on his news. He has kindly shared one final video with us so that we can share it with everyone on the blog. Anyone who has ever been frustrated by the outcome of their NCT will enjoy it! We are so proud of you Tommy, and thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity with us through the years. You are a credit to you and your family and we can’t wait to welcome you back to school in June when you deliver a masterclass...

Jordan’s Lego Stop Motion sequel from St Peter’s, Bray on Vimeo. Last year, Jordan’s first Stop Motion Movie was a huge success throughout the school. When it finished, he promised his fans that there would be a part two in the coming year. Ladies and gentlemen, here we have it, ‘Lex Returns’, Jordan’s long awaited sequel. It’s back and it’s bigger and better than ever. The usual ‘good guys’ like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles, Superman, Aquaman and Wonderwoman are back to save the day. After a breakout from jail, all the villains... 

Last Saturday, St. Peter’s had the huge honour of showcasing their technology and ICT use in Dublin Castle at the Excited Digital Learning Conference. We were invited to participate having completed the Digital Schools of Distinction adjudication. It has been an incredible year for St. Peter’s, and we have worked to improve and enhance our use of ICT at every level in the school. This has led to great success at a national level, and we have been successful in the national Eircom Junior Spiders awards, the national Mathletes finals and we have also won a Creative Schools award for use... 

Ms. Byrne and third class had the most exciting start to their week this morning! A big package was delivered to the school addressed to ‘The Children in Ms. Byrne’s Third Class’. After much guessing and anticipation about what might be in the package, the boys ripped opened the box. They found the most generous, kind and thoughtful letter inside explaining what they had received. And if you know third class, you could probably guess at what the best possible thing in the world would be for them to receive… YES you’ve guessed it – LEGO!!! The package had been sent by none other than... 

He’s done it again! Tommy Lang in 4th Class has made yet another outstanding stop-motion video! This one has a performance edge to it… do you know the work of the St. Peter’s Dance Academy? St. Peter’s have done it again! We have been successful in achieving the Creative Schools Award for 2014. We’re sure you have noticed all of the great work the children have been doing with Stop Motion Animation over the past year, and you weren’t alone! The Association for Creativity and Arts in Education who organise the Creative Schools Award think we are super too! On Monday, Ms. Byrne and Ms. Flanagan took four of the boys to Temple Bar’s Arc Cultural Centre to represent the school in receiving our award. Patryk, Dylan, Jordan and Szymon were treated to a fun filled day in Dublin.... 

After much anticipation the long wait is over… After many weeks working on his full length Stop Motion Animation Jordan is finally ready to release his movie to the world! This critically acclaimed feature film will leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more. Luckily Jordan has a sequel scheduled for pre summer release. Now sit back and enjoy! After many months of learning about stop-motion animations, apps, lighting, sound, props and recording… here it is. Our complete Creative Schools Awards project in one massive blogpost! So… here it is! Our project has taken us four months to complete. We decided to use our love of ICT and Art in as creative and interesting a way as possible in putting together a stop-motion animation project.
