6th class have had a great month celebrating Anti – Bullying month during November. It’s so important to celebrate this month in school in order to raise awareness about bullying and the many different forms it can take. As senior students in our school, we feel a responsibility to lead by example and make sure that our school is an open, welcoming and inclusive place to be. These golden rules contain some great advice and help us to identify and practise kind behaviour. Some of the activities we took part in included walking debates about bullying, identifying trusted...

We had a great time investigating and discussing all things scientific this year! One of our favourite activities was when we linked our PE lesson with Science. How to take your heart rate To begin with, we discussed and took our ‘resting’ heart rates. This was a little bit tricky at first (some of us were worried we didn’t have any 😅) but after some perseverance we became comfortable calculating them. We did this by counting the...

5th Class had great fun investigating, exploring and creating for Science Week 2020. At the beginning of the week we used the Lego WeDo kits to create satellites, robots and windmills. We first had to create our Lego model. We then used Bluetooth to connect our creations to tablets. From there we could program our Lego creations. We could make them move, spin, change colour and make noises. We have been learning all about Space. One child in the class cashed in their Dojo Points to teach the class a lesson. He chose to teach us about rockets and how they launch. He recorded a video...

Fifth Class are delighted to be back and have had a wonderful month settling back into school. We have been doing some great things in class and have been working very hard. Our first theme to start off the year was inventors. We looked at a range of different inventors and even came up with our own inventions! One inventor we studied was Leonardo Da Vinci. We learned that not only was he was a brilliant inventor, he was also an artist, sculptor and engineer. In art we looked at his most famous painting, The Mona Lisa, and decided to put a modern twist on it! Check out our ‘Modern...
