Welcome to Engineers Week in St Peter’s! This morning in 5th class, we started thinking about what we know about engineers. We started by thinking individually about words that come to mind when we hear the word ‘engineer’. We also drew pictures of what we think an engineer looks like. Next, we worked in pairs to discuss what we know about engineers. Then we shared our work with the rest of the class. Welcome to another edition of the St Peter’s Post. This week was full of Write-A-Book projects and parent-teacher meetings. We had fantastic attendance at our meetings this week and it was a fantastic opportunity to discuss the students’ progress. Write-A-Book was a great success and we were delighted to submit over 70 books for reading in other schools. Congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part! Welcome to the 10th edition of the ‘St Peter’s Post’ and it’s absolutely packed! This week saw ‘Write A Book’ in full swing, the Virtual Science Fair continued and there were a number of fantastic podcasts. Busy, busy times in St Peter’s! Mr Curran has been in this week sticking up our Christmas lights. The backdrop for the play has been drawn out and the painting has started. The many tubs of costumes have been taken out and lists of props have been drawn up. Actions to the songs have been learned and the lines run like clockwork.
