Welcome to our online weekly newsletter, the St Peter’s Post. This week was hectic in the school – we had Mathletes announcements, our submission for the Discover Primary Science award, Confirmation, Teachmeet East and a religious visitor. Congratulations to all of our students who made their Confirmation today – the weather was beautiful and they all behaved impeccably on the day. Welcome to another edition of our online weekly newsletter – the St Peter’s Post! This week, we’ve been looking forward to the next few weeks – 2nd and 6th class are preparing for Communion and Confirmation and we’ve started recruiting for the choir for the Communion ceremony. Welcome to our online weekly newsletter – our first St Peter’s Post of the third term. It’s been a very exciting week in St Peter’s and we’re sure that everyone by now has heard that good things come in twos! On Tuesday, we were over the moon to be awarded two awards in the Eircom Junior Spiders… and then on Thursday, we were over the moon to hear of two new arrivals to the St Peter’s family. This week, we’re integrating our usual work (along with other exciting events) with Tech Week Ireland and with Digital Art Week. One way that 5th class have taken part in both events was to experiment with SketchUp. SketchUp has a bit of a history in St Peter’s. In 2009, 6th class at the time were declared the Senior Engineering Class of Ireland. In the lead up to the finals, they presented a project at the BT Young Scientist Primary Science Fair (and won the top prize on the day with two other schools!).   Welcome to our weekly online newsletter – the St Peter’s Post! We’re very proud of all the great work from our students this week – from Write-A-Book, to stop-motion, to Gaelic tournaments  – and plenty more in between! This week started with St Patrick’s Day and finished on Friday afternoon with our Seachtain na Gaeilge concert. We really enjoyed our three days this week! It’s been a while since we put together one of our ‘In Numbers’ pieces, so we thought it was about time that we reflected on what we have been getting up to since our last one that we posted on November 5th! Slightly delayed St Peter’s Post this weekend! You can blame the CESI (Computers in Education Society of Ireland) Conference in Galway yesterday. The theme was ‘Spark the Imagination’ and they really did! We’ve come back with lots of very cool ways to enhance ICT in St Peter’s!
