The cover of our book 2nd Class have just finished their latest book. It is called ‘Care of Henry’ and it is written by Anne Fine. We really liked it and managed to read it in just two weeks! We made a podcast to tell you all about it. We had great fun and managed to put some opera singing in again! Well done to Kia for stepping up to be our latest presenter! Today we celebrate Martin Luther King day and stand with people from all over the world who respect great people who stand up for equality and freedom. In this post, 6th Class will read his great ‘I Have A Dream’ speech to inspire us all to be better people, to be fair and equal and to work together for a better world. January is always a bit of an exciting month – people make new goals and resolutions and push themselves to do and be better! You can hear 2nd class talking about their New Year’s Resolutions on their podcast here! In 5th class, we’ve been looking at the top 100 Inspirational Quotes from Forbes. You can read them here. In groups, we read the quotes and picked out our favourite ones, discussing what we think they mean. We made a podcast below of our favourite ones. Well done to Sam for leading the podcast! Congratulations to our new Student Council for this term. We are very proud of you and know that you will do very well. Here are your new council. Listen to their very first podcast here! 2nd Class decided to make New Year Resolutions. We will try our best to do special things this year, like help at home and improve our homework. Listen to our podcast to hear our promises! 2nd Class had a great time presenting their class play ‘The Little Rascals’ in December. We picked the story because we love the film and Ms. Brennan wrote some lines for us and gave us parts. We wanted to have fun and have a story that would include girls and boys, and especially something that would be a reminder that we are the first class in St. Peter’s with boys and girls! Thanks to the great support of the family and friends of St. Peter’s, we managed to win our EduBlogs award! This is a huge achievement and recognition of the work done by the children of our school. The Edublogs Awards are recognised internationally and we are privileged to have our name beside so many other outstanding achievements online. We thank you sincerely for our nominations and votes. It will encourage us to use sound and technology to enhance our lessons further. The award is the best Christmas present we could get. While it is lovely to think of the delicious food, exciting toys, fancy decorations and fun days out at Christmas time, it is important not to forget the real reason behind Christmas.
