Dominick’s Cartoon from St Peter’s, Bray on Vimeo. I worked really hard on my ‘Toontastic’ video and I really hope you enjoy it. It’s about three dinosaurs, Rex, Bronto and the very silly Terry. It took me a long time to make it on the ipad because I had to do it day by day. I followed a ‘story arc’ to write 5 scenes. I wrote my first scene, the ‘setup’, then the ‘conflict’ where there’s a problem in the cartoon. The ‘challenge’ scene was where the problem got even harder for the main characters. The ‘climax’ scene was where everything got solved... 

We were delighted with the interest in yesterday’s ‘Are You Smarter Than a 12 Year Old’ Maths post! Now it’s time for another one! We’ve posted our English Grammar one above, do you want to give it a go?  Step up, step up – are you smarter than a 12 year old?! Ps. As we told you in our last podcast and blogpost, 6th Class are reading ‘Reaching the Heights’ by Peter Gunning. It’s a fantastic book that we just can’t put down. Check out our latest podcast on it, as we see how the lives of Tosh, Naylor and Aisling are affected by a series of social problems in 1980s Ireland!  

6th Class have started a new book called ‘Reaching the Heights’. It’s set in Co. Cork and is about three teenagers and the challenges they face in their lives. It is a demanding read, with lots of social problems explored in it. We’re really enjoying it so far. Have a listen to our first podcast on the book, all about Chapters 1-5.  

6th Class are really enjoying their latest book, ‘The Witches’ by Roald Dahl. This is our third  podcast and we are delighted with how it came out. Davy and Alan presented and they did a great job! Lots happened in the story since we spoke last, don’t miss this podcast! Warning: It contains major spoilers!
