6th class have been working really hard on their submission to the ReelLIFE Science Video competition. We made a short video all about nettles (and about a few other themes such as women in STEM and the power of science to ease our fears!) We had great fun researching, creating and filming our film – the hardest part was keeping it as short as possible! We hope you enjoy it!

In June, our famous Lego film director and producer Tommy Lang graduated from 6th Class. He’s off to secondary school and already doing great things, calling in to update us on his news. He has kindly shared one final video with us so that we can share it with everyone on the blog. Anyone who has ever been frustrated by the outcome of their NCT will enjoy it! We are so proud of you Tommy, and thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity with us through the years. You are a credit to you and your family and we can’t wait to welcome you back to school in June when you deliver a masterclass...

Well, here it is! The latest from Tommy Lang’s stop motion production company. He has put his Simpsons lego to good use! You’ll find more of Tommy’s videos on the blog by clicking here, here, here and here. This was all produced by Tommy at home over the Easter holidays. We love it! Well done Tommy! ‘A Day With The Simpsons’ from St Peter’s, Bray on Vimeo.

Today is Safer Internet Day! Here in St Peter’s, we’re very conscious of Internet Safety. While it’s important to have general rules to prevent cyberbullying and to protect ourselves online, it’s even more important to develop skills and attitudes to help us to respond to any situation. On the blog, we’ve covered Internet Safety for ‘Wednesday for Parents’ twice. This is an idea of what we recommend! This post was the first ‘Wednesday for Parents’ of 2014 and suggested Digital Resolutions to improve Internet Safety for families. Today, to mark Safer Internet Day, some of the...

The judge at the RDS Primary Science Fair made some lovely comments about the 6th Class project on robotics. Would you like to read his comments? ‘I knew nothing about robots or programming before coming to hear the students speak, but I certainly have learnt a lot now! A very ambitious project to get the class using programming software. I was incredibly impressed with the depth of knowledge and the understanding of how to manipulate the drag-block software and that a booklet summarising instructions for how to program the robot was produced as well. We had an amazing discussion about the...

Jordan’s Lego Stop Motion sequel from St Peter’s, Bray on Vimeo. Last year, Jordan’s first Stop Motion Movie was a huge success throughout the school. When it finished, he promised his fans that there would be a part two in the coming year. Ladies and gentlemen, here we have it, ‘Lex Returns’, Jordan’s long awaited sequel. It’s back and it’s bigger and better than ever. The usual ‘good guys’ like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Tutles, Superman, Aquaman and Wonderwoman are back to save the day. After a breakout from jail, all the villains...

My characters are Tony, JJJ, Bender the robot and the two bullies, King Arnes and Onetwo. It’s about a science fair where the bullies try to steal JJJ  and Tony’s invention- Bender, but they fail! I hope you like watching it.

Hi, it’s Rowan from third class here. I had loads of fun doing my Toontastic project. It took a long time but I enjoyed it. The characters are Jody, Alisa, Wolf Mann , Gue Monster, the ghost and mum. It’s a cartoon about when Alisa gets a goal when playing football and she goes really crazy. Then her brother Jody gets mad. He gets even madder when Alisa accidentally pushes him down a magic hole into a scary place. I hope you enjoy it because I enjoyed making it!
