We have been busy designing and making our own puppets in Senior Infants to help us understand the forces of pushing and pulling. We used paper cups, tissue paper, felt pieces, lollipop sticks and smiley faces to make our puppets. We use them by pushing and pulling. We experimented with our designs to make sure that they worked properly.  We had lots of fun making our puppets and want to say a big thanks to Liam who made sure that we all got to use some colourful hair to make our puppets look extra special! 🙂

We’ve been working on our Geography projects in 2nd class over the last couple of weeks and here’s a little update on how we’ve been getting on. First, we broke up into groups and chose a question related to Bray. One group answered the question ‘What makes Bray a good place for children to live in?’ Another group chose ‘Where would you find water in Bray?’ and a third group answered the question ‘How do people travel to and around Bray?’ We worked in our groups to design posters to illustrate the answers to our questions after a lot of discussions....

Well done to Caoilynn and Caithlin. The girls won our positivity week art competition and are delighted with their Frozen prizes! Caoilynn’s quote for positivity week was “Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So… Get on your way!” – Dr. Seuss Caithlin’s quote which inspired her art was “You have brings in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” – Dr. Seuss. Caithlin’s character is on stilts! They feel on top of the world!   Great work girls!

Senior Infants have been busy building with blocks, Lego and straws. The boys and girls are very creative and have designed some really interesting things! Tristan and Gary used colourful Lego blocks to create their own house and Brooke used lots of straws to make her own climbing frame. Well done! We can’t wait to see what you will build next!

Lovely and neat! Well done to this great girl who did excellent work on her letter “a.” She traced over them really neatly and did  some of her own “a’s”  on the bottom line. Then she drew some pictures of things beginning with “a.” Fantastic!!!

They wait impatiently for the decision from the innkeeper (Liam) and his assistant, Heimi (Emanuele), but they get a shock when two unexpected visitors show up – Mary and Joseph, played by Naoise and Thomas. Throw in two robbers, Grabber and Snatcher, played by...
