Welcome to our weekly online newsletter – the St. Peter’s Post! We’ve quite a short edition this week – but we’ve an excellent excuse! It was papier-mâché central in St Peter’s this week and we’re very egg-cited to unveil it next week. Students and staff struggled to blog with paste-covered hands – hence the lack of documentation! We’ve a big week ahead however, and we can’t wait to show off our newly decorated corridor. We have lots of big news though this week – it was a great week for us! Here are the week’s headlines: We...

Of course, as you all know by now, the major event this week was the launch of the website – www.stpetersbray.ie All the staff and students worked really hard to put it together, but special thanks has to go to Ms Brennan, who put in so much work to turn all the content into the fantastic website we now have! Read all about our launch here. Please make...

If things have been a little quiet on the blogging and tweeting front this week… I think you’ll forgive us! Every class, teacher and staff member has been working hard on putting together our brand new website! And here it is… www.stpetersbray.ie! We’re delighted with how child-friendly it is, how much work was done by the children in making it and also how it shows off life in our school in such a fun and personal way. It has information on enrolment, staff details, information for parents, videos, photos, policies, after-school club details, lists of awards and achievements…...

Slightly delayed St Peter’s Post this weekend! You can blame the CESI (Computers in Education Society of Ireland) Conference in Galway yesterday. Hold onto your hats – we’ve a flood of posts for you this week! It may have been a slow traffic week on the roads, but it certainly hasn’t been on the blog. We think it might be the busiest week yet. We can credit it to two big events – Engineer’s Week 2014 and the blog birthday! Let’s get started with our Saturday supplement on Engineer’s Week: The week kicked off with a Wordle from 5th class about what we associate with Engineering. We then updated it on Friday to see what we learned during the week. See both Wordles here! 5th class then learned about...

Welcome to another edition of the St Peter’s Post. This week was full of Write-A-Book projects and parent-teacher meetings. We had fantastic attendance at our meetings this week and it was a fantastic opportunity to discuss the students’ progress. Write-A-Book was a great success and we were delighted to submit over 70 books for reading in other schools. Congratulations to all the boys and girls who took part! This week’s headlines: We’ve new additions to the Project Room – two terrapins. Read Codie’s blog post on them here. We are trying to think of names...

Welcome to another edition of the St Peter’s Post. January seemed like a long month – full of activities and lots of work! Just a reminder that parent-teacher meetings take place next week – contact your child’s teacher if you haven’t received a time yet (it could be in the bottom of the schoolbag too!) You can read them here. 5th class recorded a podcast all about their progress. Listen to it here. 6th...
