2nd class took their first steps into the world of animation today! As you know, our Creative Schools submission last year was based on stop-motion animation, so we thought it was about time that 2nd class got a taste of one of our favourite creative activities in St Peter’s. Other classes have used Go Animate in the past, and we really enjoyed creating our little video using their latest updates. We chose the background, the length of the scenes, the characters, how the characters acted in each scene and, of course, we recorded the voices!

We chose to use part of our ‘comhrá’ for the script (St Peter’s has a history of using animation in Irish – you can check out the work of last year’s 3rd class here and here). We hope you enjoy our video and we’re looking forward to trying it out again soon!

Junior Infants all loved the cartoon! Elif loved the alien in it.Lauren and Michael liked the aliens spaceship, Chloe liked the way that the alien could fly in his spaceship. Kurina liked the way the girl said “Dia duit .”
We learned lots of Gaeilge and thought the cartoon was very funnny!
