This year, for Engineer’s Week, we had a very exciting event as we had our first ever Junior K’NEX Challenge. As you know, our senior version is well-established – you can read all about this year’s event here and last year’s version is here.

Senior Infants and 2nd class were the perfect combination to work together on the K’NEX Challenge. With four sets of siblings and lots of cousins, we made the teams into family affairs and we think you’ll be very impressed by their fantastic work.

The challenge was to design and make a bridge. The criteria was that the bridge that held the most toy cars would be the winner and we tested all of our bridges after we built them. Before we built anything, we had to draw our designs out and plan how to make them as strong as possible.

We had a great time working with 2nd class and love the photos and video! Thank you Ms. Sexton and 2nd class for helping us to build our bridges and for being so kind to us.
