6th Class are really enjoying their latest book, ‘The Witches’ by Roald Dahl. This is our second  podcast and we are delighted with how it came out. Sam and Robert presented and they did a great job!

6th Class sketched famous sites in Dublin to celebrate Culture Night. Last Friday night, famous sites and buildings all over Ireland opened up to the public for viewing. We chatted about famous places we think we would like to visit in Dublin, and we decided to draw them. We hope you like our work!

Senior Infants

We are the new Senior Infant class in St Peter’s! There are 8 boys and 3 girls and our teacher is Ms V. Brennan.

Recently we were delighted to receive a new set of books for each class from 1st to 6th as part of a competition run by Prim-Ed Publishing. Read the release for Prim-Ed below…

St. Peter’s Primary School wins New Wave English in practice workbooks for the entire school.

Recently, Prim-Ed Publishing ran an online competition that offered the chance to win workbooks for an entire school.The competition was open to Principals, teachers, parents and pupils and all were invited to submit a review of one of Prim-Ed’s workbooks.

The winner, Patrick Kinsella, a teacher at St Peter’s Primary School in Bray, entered the competition with his review of‘New wave mental maths’.

“We are delighted to present St Peter’s Primary School with their prize of our brand new workbook ‘New Wave English in Practice’. Patrick’s review of ‘New Wave Mental Maths’highlighted the objective of the workbook; to improve children’s grasping of mathematical concepts at an individual level. We were delighted to have so many entries to the competition and the feedback has proved that our workbookshave been successful in assisting teachers gain better results”, said Seamus McGuinness, MD of Prim-Ed Publishing.

6th Class have decided to record their prayers to help them to prepare to celebrate their Confirmation next term.

There are many prayers for us to learn. We have made two full sheets with lots of prayers and we have sent them home to practice every night.

If you are practicing the prayers, it might help to play these podcasts where we are reminded what to say. We can practice the prayers beside the sound. These are the prayers from page one as sent home!
